Formosa Power Plant Design-Build Project

E. P. Breaux Electrical, INC. (EPBI) of New Iberia, Louisiana (see http://epbreaux.com/), subcontracted Dorazio Enterprises, INC. (DEI) to complete civil sitework at the Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A. (FPC-USA) FCP Power Plant, Port Comfort, Texas (see www.fpcusa.com/company/operations/point_comfort_tx.html). EPBI was the Electrical Subcontractor to The ABB Group, Power System Substation (PSS) Division (see www.abb.com), who was awarded the Design-Build (D-B) contract for a Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) energy unit that provides steam and electricity to this 1,600-acre FPC-USA plant. The ABB Group operates in more than 100 countries, and is a global leader in power and automation technologies. FPC-USA is affiliated with the Taiwan-based Formosa Plastics Group (FPG), a global leader in plastics, petrochemicals and a variety of other industries

The Scope of Work included all heavy construction for the 138KV Gas-Insulated Substation (GIS) building, transformer pads and arc-blast firewalls.
